I have also been searching for my ancestors and came across the last name horvatich. It appears that Ann Horvatich was the mother of one of my family members with the last name Dugach. I was wondering if there is any relation!

Hello Gisele
My name is George Harvotich. My Grandpa was Steven Horvatic, from Croatia. He was a natural resource officer in northern area of Croatia, as I was told from my dad. I’m not sure what town or area he was from, still doing research. My dad changed the family name to Harvotich, not sure why, maybe misspelled coming into Ellis Island, New York. Grandpa and Grandma move to norther Minnesota to work in the mines as did many Croats, Serbs, Slovenian’s. I’m half Croatian and half Serbian….yes I know! But it works ok for me. LOL!
Would love to know we are related in any way. Pleas reach out to me.
