Jurić surname came from Croatized name of Georgius. There are many variants of this surname in Croatian language: Jurjević, Jurašić, Jurković, Juraković, Juranac, Juravić, Jurc, Jurčak, Jurec, Juričko, Jurjavec, Jurej, Jureš, Jurša... In Dubrovnik area Georgius surname was transliterated into Zore, Zoretić, Žura, Žurančić, Džore etc.

If a person has the Jurić family name, he is most assuredly of a Croatian ethnicity, since there are no Serbs or Bosnians (Muslims) that bear that surname.
