I am Joshua, son of Dennis, son of George, son of Evan…born in 1888 in Drežnik Grad, Karlovac, Croatia. I am trying to trace my lineage back even further. The closest I’ve gotten to identifying Evan’s parent was unconfirmable names of “Stephano and Mary Hodak” Any information would help. Thank you
I am the daughter of Rose Ann Hodak who was the daughter of Dane Hodak and Catherine, both born in Croatia and immigrated to the United States around 1900. I believe Dane had a brother named Evan. Not sure. Need to check my records. Do you know of Dane?
my grand father was peter yellon hodak ,who married queenie jewel I believe,they had several children ,he died in Youngstown ohio,at just 37 ,a son glenn hodak died in prison in japan in 1945,he was a tail gunner in a B-29 which was shot down over tokyo,during a bombing mission,he survived the crash,but died in a japan prison,there is a monumentfor the crew in japan,
