“Facing the Riddle of Family Tree”, a brand new how-to book on Croatian genealogy was officially introduced on Tuesday, November 13th at the presentation organized at the Croatian State Archive (Hrvatski državni arhiv) in Zagreb.

Mladen Paver, a renown Croatian genealogist and Gordan Gledec, a specialist on technological aspects of Genealogy research presented their book to the audience with words of thanks to those who made the book possible. “It was a long ride before this book was published, and we hope you will enjoy it”, said Mr. Paver.

Gordan Gledec in his short address to those present pointed out that his portion of the book on how to use the internet and computer technology for the research of Croatian roots develops rapidly, and that brings new opportunities for devoted genealogists.

The moderator of the presentation of the new book was Mr. Stjepan Ćosić, the director of Croatian State Archives, who praised the book for it’s easy-to-read style, and the abundance of helpful data for inexperienced researchers. “This book is handbook for dummies, and that’s it’s greatest strenght”, Mr. Ćosić said.

Marko Rimac, head of Croatian genealogical society, also praised the new book, pointing out that we now expect a new book from the authors about advanced aspects of genealogy work.

About seventy persons were at the attendance
