My great great grandfather was born in Croatia his name was Henry Yurkovich (1830-1914) He married Anna Crnkovic. My great grandfather was there child Matt Yurkovich (oct14,1874-Feb. 12th 1952.cannot find out where he was born ) Matt’s father was a tax man he went out with his father one day one of the houses belonged to Andrew Gorsich and Barbara Vukelic and Matt fell for their daughter Anna Gorsich Matt’s Dad said no way so Matt left for u.s.

Have you had any luck? My sister married a Jurkovic in 2012, family is from a small town outside of Zablaće (Šibenik region), IT is not longer inhabited and hasn’t been for decades, can’t remember the name of it though. Look on Facebook for Croatian genealogy pages, you’ll find a lot of info

I am also looking for information. My great-grandfather came from Croatia to Brazil in 1896. He was born in Delnice (Croatia) in 1878. Parents were Giorgio and Teresa Jurkovic.
