My grandfather’s name was Obrovac. Grandma was a Cindric. Her mother was a Valentic. They were from the area around Cetingrad Croatia. I would appreciate any information anyone could give me about families with those names in that area.
My grandfather’s name was Nocholas Franklin Obrovatz, his father was Josip Walter Obrovatz, anglicized from Obrovac when he arrived in the US (born in Croatia), his father was Sam Obrovac born in Croatia. There are several Obrovac family members listed as prisoners in the Jasenovac Concentration Camp during the holocaust. Let’s compare knowledge and see if we can shed some light on our lineage?
