Hello. I am currently researching my ancestry Nicola Tadic who migrated to Australia in 1852 from the Island of Vis. His brother Samuel Tadic emigrated in 1886. My wife and I plan to visit Vis in June. It would be greatly appreciated if you could suggest how we might be able to track down any church records that might exist or public records. Regards Allan

Local people whole island will help you and direct you to the island church that holds records, you just tell them who you are and why are you looking for it and they would help you fint it. Croatians are very open and helpful, don’t worry!

Hi Allan,
There’s a gathering called Tadicijada that is organized annually in Belgrade. There are also a few book editions of Tadić anscestry that dates back a few centuries. I have a copy of it at my mom’s house. I can also ask my uncle where you can get a copy of the book. As travelling is not possible now, this may help to start yoyr search.
