Jorge Rojas Bogovich / 9-9-2016 / ·
My great uncle told me that the Bogovich’s left Croatia for Austria but when the First World War started Austria had most of immigrants on the battle field first so some of the brothers (almost 8 of them) among other family members left for the Americas and landed in Panama, from there some went south all the way to Argentina, in my case I’m Peruvian, where is where my ancestry starts with the Bogovich’s, and others went north.

My great grandparent, Antonio Bogovich, born in Austria around 1,845, came to work in Peru and lived in Nepena (Ancash). His wife was named Nicolasa. They had a son named Jorge Bogovich, who got married in Nepena with Adilia Barrenechea Lafit, daughter of French parents.
I am Peruvian, and I would like to know if somebody else has some information regarding the origin of my great grandfather in Austria.
