Looking for some information regarding the region in which the name Radocaj may have come from in Craoatia
My name is Cindy Radocaj. You may email me at cindyradocaj@live.com I can help you with your question.
I am Dorothy Radocay Metcalf. My father changed his family name from Radocaj because of pronunciation problems, changing the “j” to a “y” to allow an American pronunciation. We lived in West Virginia, coal mining family, until retirement to a farm in Ohio. He had a brother Nick that lived in Cleveland, OH. Dad died in 1983 at 83 years old. He was from Slunj Croatia. Married Gloria Kovacic from Split Croatia.
For Dorothy Radocay Metcalf:
My paternal grandfaather’s mother was a Radocay. She was married to an Obrovac. He was born in
Slunj, or at least I know his younger brother was. We are trying to learn more about the family and hope you can help. Thanks.
