My Grandfather Francesco Turkovich was born in Osera, now Vsar. I am planning to bring my mother back to Croatia after leaving when she was 7 years old. Would like to trace any of her living family.
My Paternal Grandmother, Magdelena (Magda) Skrtic/Skrtich/Skrtch, was born in about 1887 in or around Karlovac, Croatia. She came to USA in about 1903 and settled in Illinois.
My Paternal Grandfather, John (Janko) Trgovich/Turgovich was born about 1885 in or around Barilovic, Croatia and came to USA around 1900.
My Grandmother used to send our old children clothing back to family in Croatia back in the 40’s and 50’s but I don’t know who she was sending clothing to.
My grandfather was born in Montenegro Podgorice in 1890.He lived in Shkoder Albania.I am Ilirjan Turkovic
My great-grandmother, Matilda Turkovich was born in Brgudac, Croatia in approximately 1887. She married Anton Ribarich from Semic, Croatia. They immmigrated to the US in the early 1900’s & eventually settled in Richmond, CA as did many of their relatives.
